Dr Rusty Gaddes
Osteopath — BAppSc (Human Anatomy), Master of Osteopathy
Rusty has a strong scientific foundation in anatomy, physiology, and evidence-informed practice. With a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Anatomy and a Master of Osteopathy, he integrates clinical knowledge with a whole-person approach to care.
Since beginning practice in 2017, Rusty has developed a treatment style that blends structural, cranial, and visceral osteopathic techniques. Over time, he has also expanded his skillset to include modalities such as Reiki, breathwork, spinal attunement, hypnotherapy, and NLP & Timeline Therapy®. These complementary approaches allow him to support clients not only structurally, but also through the lens of the nervous system, emotional patterns, and the mind–body connection. While sessions can be gentle or subtle, they remain grounded in anatomy, physiology, and conscious therapeutic intention.
Rusty is committed to continual professional development and reflective practice. He has a particular interest in how the body holds patterns of strain, stress, or emotional protection, and how safe, skilled touch can encourage the system to unwind, reorganise, and return to more efficient function.
Originally from Raglan, New Zealand, Rusty is now based in Melbourne and looks forward to connecting with the local community. Outside of practice, he enjoys staying active, time at the beach, travelling, and discovering new food spots.
Rusty welcomes clients seeking gentle, personalised care—whether to maintain an active lifestyle, recover from injury, or work through longer-term patterns within the body. His clinic is an inclusive space for all, with a particular openness to the LGBTQIA+ community.
